In the spring of 2019 in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 17-year-old Anterio Worthy was tragically cut short. On April 15th, the Black/African American male teenager was fatally shot during an altercation at an apartment complex in the Raleigh neighborhood. Another 17-year-old was also struck by gunfire and was left in critical condition but ultimately survived the encounter. Anterio was rushed to Regional One Hospital, but his injuries proved to be too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
