John Winston Allgood, a 53-year-old male, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, in Clarksville, Tennessee. A proud United States Navy veteran, he was born on August 1, 1965, in Dover, Delaware. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Clarksville and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
The circumstances surrounding his death were tragic and violent. On the evening of June 5, 2019, a dispute occurred outside of the LongHorn Steakhouse in Clarksville, which tragically escalated to a shooting. Allgood, along with another man, James Ramsey, age 37, were killed during the incident.
Nearly a year later, on May 5, 2020, a significant development occurred in the investigation. Following a grand jury indictment, two suspects were arrested in connection with the homicides. Zachary Tablack and Jackie Davis were taken into custody by detectives and agents with the Special Operations Unit, with assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department.
Both Tablack and Davis were indicted by the Montgomery County Grand Jury on two counts of First Degree Premeditated Murder for the deaths of John Allgood and James Ramsey. Additionally, they each faced one count of reckless endangerment involving the use of a deadly weapon. The investigation into the double homicide was ongoing, with authorities anticipating the possibility of further arrests.
