In the early morning hours of a summer Sunday in Knoxville, Tennessee, the life of 21-year-old Zacharia Nahimana was tragically cut short. On June 9, 2019, gunshots shattered the pre-dawn quiet near the Sunnight Lounge on Maryville Pike. When police officers arrived around 2:40 a.m., they discovered a chaotic scene and found Nahimana suffering from life-threatening injuries.
