On a summer evening in Clarksville, Tennessee, the life of 32-year-old Joshua R. Ellis was tragically cut short. On July 21, 2019, Ellis, a Black/African American male, was shot outside of his residence on Givens Lane. Neighbors reported hearing sounds that they initially mistook for fireworks around 9:00 p.m. First responders arrived to find Ellis with gunshot wounds.
