In the quiet city of Clarksville, Tennessee, the life of a young woman was tragically cut short, leaving a community in search of answers. On the evening of October 8, 2019, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of Main Street. Upon arrival, they discovered 19-year-old Kieara Jayanna Nicole Johnson inside her vehicle, deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. The Clarksville Police Department immediately launched a homicide investigation into her death.
Kieara, an African American female, was found in her 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue which had been shot multiple times. Investigators worked through the night, conducting interviews and processing evidence in an effort to piece together the events that led to her untimely death. Despite their extensive efforts, no suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with her murder.
The case has since grown cold, but the pursuit of justice for Kieara has not been abandoned. The Clarksville-Montgomery County Crime Stoppers has added her case to their cold case list and is offering a reward for any information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for her death. Her family, including her mother Leslie Weems Johnson and father Terrance Johnson, continue to advocate for her and seek answers in the tragic loss of their daughter.
