On the evening of January 7, 2020, Patrick Godwin, a 57-year-old male, returned to his home on Horseshoe Bend Lane in Ooltewah, Tennessee, after a day of work as a master hair stylist. As he stood in his own front yard, he was shot and killed in what was quickly determined by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office not to be a random act of violence.
