Mya Taylor, an 18-year-old African American female from Memphis, Tennessee, tragically lost her life on May 2, 2020. Mya was a student at Hillcrest High School and was just days away from graduating when she was fatally shot during a late-night trip to McDonald's. Mya and her friends were in the drive-thru line when a silver and gray sedan pulled up and fired into their vehicle. Mya was fatally injured, and a 19-year-old male passenger was also shot but later released from the hospital.
