Death by Force

On June 26, 2020, Kayla Phillips-Coker, a 26-year-old woman from Madison, Tennessee, was fatally shot in the 100 block of Cumberland Avenue. She was visiting acquaintances at a house on Cumberland Avenue when she left to walk to a convenience store. While returning to the home, she was shot in her abdomen and managed to run back into the house before collapsing. Despite being transported to Skyline Medical Center, she succumbed to her injuries.
