On a late Friday evening in Madison, Tennessee, the life of 26-year-old Kayla Phillips-Coker was tragically cut short. On June 26, 2020, the Caucasian female was visiting with acquaintances at a residence in the 100 block of Cumberland Avenue. She had decided to take a short walk to a nearby convenience store, a simple errand that would turn fatal. As she was returning to the house, the night was shattered by gunfire.
