Marcus Davis, a 33-year-old Black man, was killed on July 23, 2020, in Memphis, Tennessee, after a violent break-in in the Hickory Hill area turned into a shooting that left another victim fighting to survive. The attack unfolded at a home in the 5000 block of Cedarcrest Court, where the night’s silence was broken by gunfire and panic as intruders forced their way inside and the situation spiraled into a deadly confrontation.
