On November 6, 2020, Patrick D. Dotson, 30, died in Memphis, Tennessee, after a shooting that drew police to the intersection of Lapaloma Street and East Person Avenue in South Memphis. Officers arrived to find a male victim at the scene, and he was pronounced dead there, turning an ordinary Friday afternoon into a taped-off block of flashing lights, radios, and hurried questions.
