In the late summer of 2014, the community of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, was shaken by a brazen daylight shooting that left two people dead. On the morning of August 20th, the lives of 43-year-old John T. Russ III and his girlfriend, Shannon Bongartz, were cut short in a hail of gunfire in front of Russ's home on Fourth Avenue.
