On a cold December evening in 2020, 20-year-old Montavis Jones, a male from Murfreesboro, Tennessee, was fatally shot in what investigators have described as a planned ambush. The tragic events unfolded on December 4th in the parking lot of the Campus Crossing Apartments on North Rutherford Boulevard.
