Cedric Birdsong Jr., a 21-year-old African American man from Memphis, TN, tragically lost his life on January 9, 2021. Birdsong was fatally shot while leaving a convenience store in the Hickory Hill area of Memphis. According to reports, he was approached by an unidentified man wearing a face covering who shot him at point-blank range. Despite the efforts of Memphis Fire personnel, Birdsong was pronounced dead at the scene.
