In a quiet West Knoxville neighborhood, the night of January 25, 2021, was shattered by gunfire that ended the life of Cameron Lashan Russell, a 21-year-old Black/African American man. The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting call on Aldenwood Lane, where they found Russell deceased at the scene. Another individual was also discovered with multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment.
