Erick Burton, age 26, was fatally shot on November 29, 2017, in St. Louis, Missouri. Burton's death added to the staggering number of homicides in St. Louis that year, making 2017 one of the deadliest years for the city with nearly 200 homicides reported. His body was found in the 8000 block of Michigan Avenue, where he had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.
