On October 29, 2016, Geremy Cortez Brooks, a 29-year-old resident of St. Louis, Missouri, was fatally shot while inside a vehicle on Sullivan Avenue. The shooting occurred around 4:40 p.m., and another man who was also in the car sustained injuries but survived. Authorities reported that no one has been charged in connection with Brooks' death, and the case remains unsolved.
