In the early morning hours of October 20, 2013, a domestic dispute in Pittsburgh's Brighton Heights neighborhood escalated into a fatal shooting that claimed the life of 37-year-old Curtis Edmonds, an African-American male. The incident unfolded at the Fleming Avenue home of Edmonds' ex-girlfriend.
