Eugene David III, a 19-year-old from Braddock, Pennsylvania, was shot and killed on July 30, 2014, in Pittsburgh's Northview Heights Housing Complex. The incident occurred in the 300 block of Penfort Street, where two groups were reportedly engaged in an argument. During the altercation, an individual from one of the groups opened fire on the other, resulting in Eugene being fatally shot. A second individual was also injured during the incident and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital for treatment.
