Jonathan Freeman, a 16-year-old African-American male from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot on January 9, 2019, in the Homewood South neighborhood. He was discovered inside a residence on Susquehanna Street around 7:40 p.m., suffering from gunshot wounds to his head and torso. Despite being transported to a hospital, he was pronounced dead later that evening.
