In the summer of 2021, a tragedy struck the community of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, with the untimely death of 8-year-old Brayden Lee Bowling. A student at Madison Creek Elementary School, Brayden was known for his energetic and friendly nature. His life was cut short on July 7, 2021, in what was determined to be an accidental shooting.
On that Wednesday morning, at approximately 9:15 a.m., Goodlettsville Police responded to a call reporting an accidental shooting at a home in the Long
Hollow Place subdivision. Upon arrival, they found young Brayden suffering from a gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a nearby medical center, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the incident concluded that the shooting was a tragic accident. As a result, no arrests were made, and no suspects were identified in connection with his death. The community was left to mourn the loss of a child who was described as loving and caring, with dreams of one day becoming a firefighter. His principal remembered him as a boy who was full of energy and a friend to many.
