Johnkelian "John John" Mathis, a 17-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on August 8, 2021, in Knoxville, TN. Mathis was a promising student at Austin-East Magnet High School, known for his excellence in academics and sports. He was set to begin his senior year and had a bright future ahead of him.
