Malik Gibson, a 20-year-old rising rapper known as YNC Capo, was tragically shot and killed on August 14, 2021, at a gas station in Frayser, Memphis, TN. Gibson was shot multiple times in the head, neck, chest, and left arm by Marc Lynn Thomas, a 17-year-old high school student. According to police reports, Gibson had pulled up to a gas pump, went into the store, and was ambushed by Thomas when he came back to his vehicle.
