In the late hours of a summer night in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of a promising 20-year-old male musician was tragically cut short. Malik Gibson, known in the local rap community as YNC Capo, was fatally shot on August 14, 2021, at a gas station in the Frayser neighborhood. The incident unfolded around 11:30 p.m. after Gibson had pulled his white Infiniti up to a gas pump and entered the station's convenience store. When he returned to his vehicle, he was ambushed by a gunman.
