In the late hours of a Friday night in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 39-year-old Cecil R. Holmes Jr. was brought to a tragic and violent end. On August 27, 2021, Holmes was in the parking lot of the Edgehill Homes on 11th Avenue South when he was approached by a gunman. Without warning, multiple shots were fired, and Holmes was left fatally wounded, dying at the scene. The assailant then fled, disappearing into the night.
