In the afternoon hours of October 9, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the ordinary rhythm of a busy Memphis intersection near the international airport. Donquez Driver, a 21-year-old African American male, was a passenger in a vehicle when another car pulled alongside at a stoplight on Boeingshire Road and Shelby Drive.
