On a cold January night in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 33-year-old Jonathan Fullerton, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On January 8, 2022, Fullerton and a passenger, 44-year-old Eric Lesure, were traveling eastbound on Interstate 240 in a gray Infiniti. Near the Millbranch Road exit, their vehicle was suddenly riddled with gunfire. The unexpected assault caused their car to veer off the highway, crashing through a fence and coming to a rest on Corporate Avenue below.
