DeTerrius Smith, a 20-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on February 15, 2022, in Nashville, Tennessee. Smith, who was an off-duty UPS security guard, was killed outside the UPS facility at 3205 Whites Creek Pike. According to the investigation, Smith had finished his shift and left the property around 3 p.m., only to return about an hour later.
