On a summer evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of Robert Jr. Watkins, a 26-year-old Black male, came to a sudden and violent end. On June 3, 2017, just before the stroke of midnight, police were called to a residence where they discovered Watkins shot and lying inside the doorway of his home. Despite the immediate response from law enforcement, the young man's life could not be saved.
