On a cool Friday evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 18-year-old Hoigo Jajolon Lyles was tragically cut short. On December 2, 2016, after being dropped off from work at an apartment complex located at 601 N. DuPont Ave., Lyles was fatally shot.
At approximately 10:00 p.m., police officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area.
Upon their arrival, they discovered Hoigo Jajolon Lyles on the ground at the end of apartment building D, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and as of now, the case is considered an unsolved homicide. The Nashville Police Department's Cold Case Homicide Unit is actively seeking any information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the death of Hoigo Jajolon Lyles. No suspects have been publicly identified, and no arrests have been made in connection with the murder.
