On the evening of July 15, 2022, Erresse King Jr., a 33-year-old man, was inside Harb's Market on Burnside Street in Knoxville, Tennessee, when a man entered the store and opened fire. King was struck by the gunfire and was subsequently transported to the UT Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The shooter fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
