Five-year-old LaVonte’e Roy Anthony Williams, a young male, was fatally wounded in what authorities have described as a tragic and accidental shooting. The child, full of life and remembered for his sweet and loving nature, had just been baptized the day prior to the incident that claimed his life.

evening, while at the park's basketball court, LaVonte'e came across a firearm that had been stored in his father's backpack. In a moment of tragic happenstance, the young boy accidentally discharged the weapon, inflicting a fatal wound upon himself. Emergency services were called to the scene, and he was rushed to Stonecrest Medical Center, but tragically, he succumbed to his injuries. The gun involved in the incident was recovered at the scene by the Smyrna Police Department.
