Death by Force

Andrew James Geerts, a 40-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity from Smyrna, Tennessee, died unexpectedly on February 29, 2020. His death was ruled as a double homicide by the Smyrna Police Department. Andrew was found dead in his home located in the 7000 block of Bridgewater Drive along with Melissa Nale Backer, 43, who was also killed in the incident. Both victims were shot multiple times, and the police have determined that the deaths were a result of gunshot wounds.
