In the quiet community of Smyrna, Tennessee, the evening of January 11, 2026, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 55-year-old Ben J. Lee. Responding to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of Lee Road, deputies from the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office arrived at a residence to find a grim scene. Inside the home, Mr. Lee had been fatally shot.
