In the spring of 1975, the life of a 15-year-old girl from Philadelphia, Mary Ann Lees, was tragically cut short. On March 31, 1975, her body was discovered in the desolate expanse of the Tinicum Marsh. She was not alone; the body of another young woman, 16-year-old Layne Dorothy Spicer, a fellow student at Upper Darby High School, was found with her.
