Clarence T. Womack, a 33-year-old African American male from Chester, PA, tragically died on February 16, 1981. The circumstances surrounding his death were part of a broader investigation into drug-related activities in Chester. On February 21, 1981, city and county drug investigators executed a search warrant at Womack's residence in the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Mall.
