Boende Banks, a four-year-old boy, tragically lost his life on September 25, 1982, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Susan Yuhas and George Banks. Boende was one of the victims in a horrific mass shooting spree carried out by George Emil Banks, a former Camp Hill prison guard. The incident is known as the 1982 Wilkes-Barre shootings, which resulted in the deaths of 13 people, including seven children, their mothers, some relatives, and one bystander.
