Sergeant Joseph Eugene LeClaire Jr., aged 53, was a dedicated officer with the First Judicial District Warrant Unit in Philadelphia, PA. On the night of March 19, 2004, he and two other court officers went to serve a bench warrant on a suspect named Darien Houser, who had a history of criminal activities including aggravated assault and robbery.
