On June 6, 2007, Jermaine Jackson, a 34-year-old man from Chester, PA, was fatally shot in the chest and also suffered two bullet wounds to the leg while talking to friends around 4:30 p.m. The gunman, later identified as David Palmer, 23, of Chester, ran up and yelled for the group to get out of the way before opening fire. Jackson was pronounced dead at the scene.
