Christian Massey, a 21-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on November 30, 2013, in Overbrook, Philadelphia. Massey, a special needs student and a graduate of Marple Newtown High School, was fatally shot while walking down an alleyway behind houses in the 5800 block of Lebanon Avenue. The incident occurred when Massey refused to hand over his new Beats by Dre headphones to his attacker.
