On February 11, 2014, Marquise Williams, a 23-year-old male resident of Mantua, Philadelphia, was fatally shot outside the H&H Daycare and Learning Center located at 40th and Poplar streets. The incident occurred at around 3:45 p.m., and tragically, Williams lost his life while another unidentified man was injured in the shootout. Although 40 children were inside the daycare center at the time, none were harmed.
