On a late summer day in Indianapolis, the grim discovery of a young woman's body shattered the afternoon quiet. Irene R. Poindexter, a 25-year-old Caucasian female, was found deceased on Saturday, August 30, 2008. Her naked body was discovered by two children walking along railroad tracks situated just south of Southern Avenue and east of East Street.
