In the winter of 2014, the life of 25-year-old Stephen Mysyk was tragically cut short in what police described as an execution-style slaying in the Olney section of Philadelphia. On the evening of February 19th, Mysyk and another man were shot in the head on Palethorp Street. Mysyk, a male resident of Mascher Street, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 8 p.m.
The second victim, who was believed to be in his mid-30s and remained unidentified in initial reports, was transported
to Albert Einstein Medical Center in critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead in the early hours of the following morning.
