Mark Stebbins, a 12-year-old from Ferndale, Michigan, was the first known victim of the Oakland County Child Killer, a series of unsolved child homicides that occurred in Michigan between 1976 and 1977. Mark disappeared on February 15, 1976, after leaving an American Legion Hall. He was last heard from when he called his mother, saying he was on his way home. Sadly, he never arrived. His body was found four days later, on February 19, in Southfield, Michigan, near a parking lot covered in snow.
