On April 22, 2015, authorities discovered the bodies of 69-year-old Carmine Verno and his 54-year-old wife, Caryn, in their Bentleyville, Pennsylvania home. Both had suffered gunshot wounds to the head. The couple had not been seen since the previous Saturday, prompting a caregiver to request a welfare check, which led to the grim discovery.
