In the early morning hours of Thursday, September 23, 2021, Robert Jeffery Linnen, a 41-year-old man from Clairton, Pennsylvania, was found with gunshot wounds to his torso. The shooting occurred on Saint Clair Avenue, and after Allegheny County 911 was notified at approximately 1:30 a.m., first responders arrived at the scene. Linnen was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. At the scene, a black Mercedes with bullet holes was towed away by investigators.
