Rasheen Broadnax, a 31-year-old male, was killed on June 10, 2015, in Philadelphia’s Hartranft section. He lived on 9th Street near Huntingdon Street, not far from where the shooting unfolded. That night, police were called to the area of 8th Street and Lehigh Avenue for a report of a person with a gun, and when officers arrived they found Broadnax lying on the sidewalk, bleeding from gunshot wounds to his chin, neck, and torso.
