On June 15, 2015, 32-year-old Jerit Love was fatally shot in his home in Wilkins Township, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred in the afternoon when two men visited Love's residence. Love was shot in the basement by one of the visitors, but managed to make it upstairs to instruct his five children to call the police. Tragically, Love succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
