David Alan Hoover, a 58-year-old man from Altoona, PA, tragically died on July 26, 2018. His death was the result of a fatal shooting during a confrontation in the parking lot of Bethany Lutheran Church in Altoona. The incident occurred after a high-speed chase through Altoona, which was prompted by a drug deal gone wrong earlier that day. Hoover had arranged to buy cocaine from Edward "Cowboy" Clemens, who was riding in the vehicle of the shooter, John Patrick Stiver II.
