On October 7, 2016, Michael West, a 27-year-old Black male from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot in Wilkinsburg, a borough adjacent to Pittsburgh. The incident occurred on a Friday evening, and authorities were promptly dispatched to the scene following reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they discovered Michael West with critical injuries resulting from the shooting. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.
