Patricia A. Monk, a 54-year-old woman from Saltsburg, PA, tragically died on December 22, 2016, in what was determined to be a murder-suicide. She was killed by her husband, Gregory Monk, 58, who shot her with a rifle while she slept. Gregory Monk then turned the gun on himself with a handgun. The incident occurred at their home on Forest Drive in Loyalhanna Township, Westmoreland County.
