Derick Garner, a 44-year-old man from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life on December 29, 2016. The incident occurred at a bar called OD's Plantation, located at 16th and Sycamore streets in Harrisburg. According to reports, Garner was involved in an altercation with another patron, Eric King, which escalated into a fatal shooting.
